Privacy policy

Who is responsible

The data controller and site operator is colibri.build LLC, a Colorado limited liability company. Colibri is its public-facing brand. For privacy questions or requests, email ian@colibri.build.

What I collect

Information you send. The contact form asks for your name, email address, message, and acknowledgment of the disclosed form processing. It records the time of that acknowledgment. If you email me directly, I receive your email address, message, and anything else you choose to include.

Basic technical information. Vercel and Web3Forms automatically receive information needed to serve the site, secure it, prevent abuse, and deliver your message. This can include your IP address, browser or device information, requested page, source or referring URL, request and submission timestamps, response status, latency, email delivery status, and spam classification.

Please do not send passwords, payment card details, government identifiers, health information, or other sensitive personal information through the form.

How I use it

• To read and respond to your inquiry.
• To discuss, scope, or provide services you ask about.
• To protect the site and form from fraud, spam, and misuse.
• To keep records reasonably needed for business, security, tax, or legal purposes.

I do not use contact details for an automated marketing list. I do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it for targeted advertising. The form sends nothing to Web3Forms until you check the processing acknowledgment and select Send it. After Web3Forms accepts the submission, it returns you to this site with a confirmation. You may email me directly instead.

Why I can process it

Where a privacy law requires a lawful basis, I process inquiry information to take steps at your request before a possible contract and for legitimate interests in answering inquiries, operating the site, preventing abuse, and keeping appropriate business records. If a different basis is required for a particular use, I will identify it before that use.

Who handles it

I share information only as needed with service providers that help operate the site and communicate with you:

• Vercel hosts and secures the site and may process request and security logs. See Vercel's privacy notice.
• Web3Forms, operated by Web3Creative, receives, validates, stores, screens, and forwards contact form fields and submission metadata. Its current infrastructure includes Amazon Web Services, Cloudflare, and Hetzner. It may send a submitter's IP address and email address to CleanTalk and Akismet for spam screening. • Google Workspace provides the email inbox used to receive and answer messages. See Google's privacy policy.

I may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, or complete a business transfer. I do not give personal information to data brokers, advertisers, or social networks.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not use advertising pixels, behavioral analytics, or cross-site tracking. Its own code does not set cookies or write to browser storage. Hosting and security providers may use strictly necessary technical measures to deliver the site or stop abuse. Because there are no optional analytics or advertising cookies or storage, the site does not show a cookie banner.

Retention and security

I keep ordinary inquiry records only while they are reasonably needed to respond, evaluate or perform a project, maintain business records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Inquiries that do not become active work are scheduled for deletion from my form account and email within 24 months. Active client and required business records may be kept longer.

Web3Forms states that form submissions have a maximum three-year time to live and may be deleted earlier from the account. Its operational logs are deleted on a regular basis. Other providers may retain operational copies and logs under their published terms. I use HTTPS, restricted accounts, and service providers with access controls, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and rights

You may ask me to access, correct, or delete personal information connected to you, or object to or restrict certain uses. You may also ask for a portable copy where applicable. Email ian@colibri.build. I may need to verify your identity and may retain information when law permits or requires it.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to withdraw consent where consent is the applicable basis, appeal a decision, or complain to your local privacy regulator. The contact form's required checkbox records that you saw the disclosure. It is not consent to marketing or unrelated use. I will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request.

International processing

The site is operated from the United States. Web3Forms is operated from India and uses infrastructure that may process data in the United States, the European Union, and other locations. Vercel and Google may also process information where they and their providers operate. Those locations may have different privacy laws from your home country. Web3Forms states that it uses the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum where required for transfers from the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland.

Automated screening, children, and changes

Web3Forms and its spam providers automatically screen submissions for spam and abuse. That screening may block a message, but I do not use automated processing to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. This business site is not directed to children, and I do not knowingly solicit personal information from them. If you believe a child submitted information, contact me so I can delete it.

I may update this policy when the site or its services change. The effective date at the top will show the latest revision. Material changes will be posted here before they take effect when reasonably possible.
